Enjoy the calmness of spring & fall, or enjoy a thunderstorm crossing the lake as you sit by the fireplace binge watching our internet ready TVs.
Winter
Downhill ski and snow tube at Nordic Mountain which is just 4 miles away near the town of Mt. Morris;
Cross country ski, snow-shoe or snowmobile down
miles of scenic public & private trails;
Ice fish, skate or cut a hole in the frozen lake & jump in!

The Hut:
The Hut is a 4-bedroom log home built in 1996 on the former site of a small Red Cottage which overlooked Big Hills Lake since the 1940's.
Below the Hut is 100 feet of sandy beach sinking gently into the lake providing an excellent, safe swimming area.
Prime summer time lodging now available for guests interested in staying more than 1 week.
Time including the 4th of July, EAA Week
in Oshkosh (40 minutes away - July 24-30)
and Labor Day Weekend are open for guests wanting to stay more than the traditional
7 summer days.
The Hut cannot be sublet and guests
must be listed on the rental contract.
Beyond that we"re always open to negotiate
for stays longer than the traditional
7 summer days.
We initially offer priority booking to guests wishing to stay more than 7 summer days.
The 1st 7 days costs $2100 ($300/Day - our regular summer rate), additional days $250/day (1st four days), $225/day beyond that.
There is a 5.5% state and county sales tax.
Saturday check-in/check out is customary,
but we will do our best to accommodate
your schedule.
In the off-season, rates are negotiable & we'll consider renting for shorter periods of time.

The Hut is located on Big Hills Lake in Waushara County, Wisconsin near the towns of Wild Rose, Mt. Morris, Saxville and Wautoma.
We provide bedding, bath/kitchen towels, camp fire wood, 2 canoes, washer/dryer,
air conditioning, dishes/cookware, supplies like spices, soap, paper goods, gas and coal grills, wireless internet service in & near the building.
We have various sizes of life vests available. There is a dock extending into the lake. There is a small building for cleaning fish & gut disposal.
There are several beautiful golf courses in the area, Nordic Mountain Ski/Snowboard Hill,
many public trout streams, snowmobile trails and other area attractions and restaurants.
The Hut is also 27 miles from great fishing & boating in Winneconne's Lake Poygan and the Fox River and Wolf River systems.
We may also offer access to our near-by
40 acres of forest camping, private
ATV/hiking trails and our private target shooting range upon request.
